The Cyrus Tang Foundation Museum serves as an avangardist cultural space where architecture, contemporary art, and structural physics intersect. The interior is anchored by a monumental, multi-story totem composed of illuminated translucent acrylic cubes, flanked by sweeping, parametric timber-louvred staircases. To support this highly expressive artistic volume without introducing competing visual clutter, LUCITAG delivered an ultra-low-profile linear illumination network. The core design intent was to embed sharp geometric light directly into the reflective spatial surfaces, providing a pristine, shadowless field of ambient lighting that echoes the structural alignment of the exhibitions while enhancing the layered depth of the museum's core atrium.
To articulate the ceiling geometry and wall perimeters, the project utilizes the LUCITAG Strip L-SLIM series in a Monochromatic Pure White configuration. A total of 492 units of these ultra-slender linear fixtures were seamlessly integrated flush within the recessed channels of the mirrored ceiling matrix and fair-faced concrete wall tracks. The high-density, dot-free output forms a razor-sharp, continuous luminous edge that mirrors beautifully into the polished ceiling plates above. Rather than acting as applied fixtures, the system defines the spatial envelope from within—framing the vibrant colors of the central acrylic installation, maintaining absolute visual comfort, and leaving the complex architectural contours clean, crisp, and pure.
