Located within Hong Kong’s corporate district, the DBS Bank Office is organized around a large custom-designed collaborative workstation that serves as the social and functional center of the workplace. Integrated planting and soft geometric forms introduce a biophilic layer into the otherwise structured office environment, creating a distinct spatial identity within the open-plan layout. Rather than relying on conventional linear ceiling grids, the lighting strategy sought to reinforce the unique geometry of the workstation itself, allowing the illuminated form to become an extension of the architecture.
To achieve this, LUCITAG supplied the STRIP FLEX MILKY ROUND 25 series in a Monochromatic Pure White configuration. Custom-shaped to follow the continuous triangular profile of the central workstation, the flexible luminaire was suspended from the exposed ceiling structure as a large-scale luminous frame. The installation traces the geometry below with precision, establishing a clear visual relationship between the workspace and the overhead architectural layer while maintaining an open and unobstructed ceiling plane.
Encased within a specialized diffused sleeve, the luminaire delivers a continuous, dot-free 360-degree illumination that provides highly uniform light across the working surface while minimizing direct glare. During the day, the suspended form functions as a visual anchor that organizes the collaborative zone within the broader office landscape. After dark, it transforms into a floating luminous element, strengthening the identity of the workspace and creating a calm, cohesive environment that balances functional performance with architectural expression.
