Fleur Pavilia
Hong Kong
Application: Hotel
Product: GRAZE
Model: SMART COVE OUTDOOR
Fleur Pavilia rises on the hillside above North Point, Hong Kong Island, developed by New World Development with interiors by the late Japanese designer Shigeru Uchida. The building's entrance is defined by a dense rhythm of vertical bronze fins — a detail that demanded equally precise lighting.
The canopy's fin structure required even, glare-controlled grazing along each blade, with no visible hotspots between elements positioned close together and within close viewing distance.
PIXEL SMART COVE OUTDOOR luminaires were integrated within the canopy soffit and perimeter railing, selected for their ultra-slim profile and specialized linear optics. The integrated glare-control system and precision oval beam maintain smooth illumination across the fins, ensuring visual comfort where fixtures are installed close to pedestrians.
The warm color temperature enhances the natural tone of the bronze cladding, giving each fin a consistent glow along its length. A high-frequency driver maintains flicker-free performance, while the IP66-rated aluminum chassis and tempered glass housing ensure reliable operation in Hong Kong's outdoor environment. The result is a facade that continues to read as architecture after dark — each fin individually revealed through light, maintaining the rhythm of the original design.
