Melbourne Palace Hotel Gucci
Melbourne, Australia, 2025
Application: Luxtury Retail
Product: GRAZE
Model: MP LINEAR DC
Located within the Melbourne Palace Hotel, the Gucci boutique introduces a refined retail façade where material richness and brand identity are expressed through light. LUCITAG was engaged to develop a façade lighting strategy that enhances the architectural surface while maintaining a discreet, high-end integration within the hotel context.
Architectural Accentuation: Graze MP LINEAR DC
To articulate the exterior elevation, we deployed the Graze MP LINEAR DC as a precise grazing solution across the marble and metallic façade elements. The linear fixtures are positioned to emphasize the natural veining and tonal variation of the stone, enhancing depth through controlled shadow definition and surface relief.
High-output optics and carefully calibrated beam angles ensure an even graze across the façade, allowing the materiality to remain the focus while reinforcing the architectural rhythm of the elevation. The interplay of light and texture creates a subtle contrast that shifts across the surface, revealing the façade’s detailing throughout the day-to-night transition.
Facade Expression for Luxury Retail
The result is a restrained yet distinctive architectural presence within the Melbourne Palace Hotel. The lighting quietly defines the Gucci storefront, highlighting key branding elements while maintaining balance with the surrounding façade composition. Through the precise application of the Graze MP LINEAR DC, LUCITAG establishes a layered exterior expression that reinforces the boutique’s identity within a premium urban context without overpowering the architectural fabric.
