Set within the bamboo landscape of Xiamu Mountain, The Loop Village Resort is a subterranean architectural landmark where earth-sheltered villas emerge as fluid, monolithic forms. Defined by a rhythmic sequence of circular "loops" and sweeping white vaults, the design blurs the boundary between built form and natural topography. LUCITAG’s lighting strategy reinforces this organic language through indirect illumination, allowing the architecture itself to become the primary luminous surface.
Architectural Uplighting: WASH ARCHI UFO 195
The resort’s vaulted ceilings are illuminated using the WASH ARCHI UFO 195, mounted on custom arm brackets and oriented upward to activate the ceiling as a reflector. Concealed from view, the light diffuses across curved surfaces, producing a uniform ambient field that eliminates hotspots and maintains the continuity of the vaulted volumes. The circular luminaire geometry aligns with the loop-based spatial logic, integrating seamlessly into the architectural system.

LUCITAG FLEX STRIPS are recessed into structural junctions and transitions to define edges and guide circulation. Concealed within architectural folds, the linear light introduces a secondary layer of spatial definition, tracing curves and enhancing the flow through the resort. The result is a continuous halo effect that highlights the fluidity of the interior geometry without revealing the source.
