X Plus Art Show
Shanghai, China, 2021
Application: Arts & Culture
Product: PIXEL
Model: TUBE 38
The X Plus Art Show stands as a cutting-edge immersive exhibition in Shanghai, designed to explore the boundaries between physical space and digital infinity. The installation is built around a complex, three-dimensional structural matrix housed within an infinity-mirror enclosure. To bring this avant-garde concept to life, LUCITAG implemented a fully decoupled, digitally addressed linear pixel network. The core design intent was to use perfectly uniform, 360-degree illuminated forms to build a physical grid that, when multiplied by the surrounding reflective surfaces, dissolves the gallery's walls and floor into a limitless, shifting digital cosmos.
To construct this intricate geometric web, the project utilizes 255 units of the LUCITAG PIXEL TUBE 38 series in a high-performance RGBW configuration. Connected via specialized matte-black modular joints, these structural tubes are suspended in a precise coordinate matrix. Powered by advanced DMX/RDM control protocols, each individual tube acts as an independent pixel segment, allowing the exhibition to transition seamlessly from a calibrated, architectural pure white grid to dynamic, slow-moving chromatic gradients and fast-paced volumetric light shows. The specialized diffusion profile ensures a completely dot-free, high-density saturated output, turning the physical structure into a pure, floating matrix of light.
