Located within the prestigious SKP Chengdu, the ALAÏA boutique is a masterclass in architectural minimalism. The design called for a lighting strategy that operates as an extension of the architecture itself—balancing raw concrete textures with a bold, high-contrast spatial rhythm. LUCITAG delivered a tailored lighting solution that defines the boutique’s geometric identity while ensuring exceptional product rendering throughout the retail environment.
A defining feature of the space is the staggered arrangement of TUBE 40 luminaires across the ceiling. These surface-mounted fixtures provide powerful, uniform illumination that reinforces the boutique’s industrial character while maintaining a refined visual atmosphere. Positioned in a rhythmic composition, the luminaires guide movement through the open-plan interior and echo ALAÏA’s sculptural approach to form and silhouette.
To enhance the bespoke shelving and architectural details, LUCITAG implemented a layered lighting approach using Linear Light 16 for precise shelf illumination and Pure Light Panel 6060 to introduce soft, diffused light within fitting rooms. Concealed Flex Dot 1642 systems were integrated into curved transitions and recessed coves, creating a continuous luminous effect that adds depth and visual continuity throughout the space.
By combining high-CRI performance, flicker-free technology, and seamless architectural integration, LUCITAG transformed the boutique into a carefully composed visual experience—where light, materiality, and form exist in complete harmony.
