The Chanel boutique in Beijing embodies the dialogue between haute couture and precise architectural composition. In this highly curated retail environment, lighting plays a defining role—rendering the true materiality of fine textiles and jewelry while preserving Chanel’s signature sense of restraint and clarity. LUCITAG delivered a tailored lighting system that integrates seamlessly into the architecture, shaping both product perception and spatial atmosphere.
Integrated Display Lighting: The STRIP Collection
To illuminate Chanel’s “Les Ateliers” materials and leather goods, the Flex Milky Slim Top Bended from our STRIP Collection was discreetly embedded within bespoke shelving systems. Its ultra-slim, continuous form creates a clean, uninterrupted line of light that frames each display with precision. The milky diffusion optic ensures a soft, uniform glow across surfaces, eliminating glare and unwanted reflections on glass and metallic finishes. With high-CRI performance, the lighting preserves the depth and authenticity of Chanel’s material palette—from iconic tweeds to monochrome leather—delivering a faithful visual expression aligned with the brand’s standards.
Architectural Atmosphere and Spatial Rhythm
Beyond the displays, LUCITAG introduced the MP Linear DC from our GRAZE Collection to articulate the boutique’s architectural structure. Integrated into coves and transitions, these linear systems establish a subtle rhythm of light that enhances spatial depth without visual interruption. Delivering a controlled grazing wash, the MP Linear DC defines vertical surfaces and architectural transitions with subtle precision, enhancing the clarity of the interior structure. Combined with the continuous, soft glow of the Flex Milky Slim, the lighting scheme establishes a layered spatial composition that feels calm, refined, and carefully resolved.
